What We Do ...
EduAction.Net works with institutions of higher education and other learning organizations and communities worldwide to design, build and evaluate programs that introduce innovative problem solving and design methodologies.
At the core of these programs are unique, user-centered and team-based approaches to developing innovative solutions for real world challenges. These methodologies have been pioneered by Stanford University’s ME310 Design Innovation Program and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford, also known as the d.school. EduAction.Net’s work is derived from the principle that true innovation is most likely to prosper where strong multi-disciplinary groups build a collaborative culture and explore the intersections of varied opinions and perspectives.
EduAction.Net offers workshops, institutes, and ongoing program design, implementation and evaluation support addressing the following needs:
-
•Finding innovative solutions by bringing together learners, teachers, and program facilitators from multiple disciplines to experience innovative problem solving techniques and work together with people from companies, start-ups, schools, local and national governments, and non-governmental organizations to solve complex societal problems in a human-centered way.
-
•Educating the next generation of innovators by equipping learners with the knowledge and skills they need to become leaders in an ever more complex and interrelated world. The new programs help participants to rally around a common problem-solving and design process, appreciate cultural contexts, develop deep empathy and prototype and iterate ideas rapidly.
-
•Building innovative teaching capacity and creative competence and confidence by providing a hub and an incubator for the various learning organizations and the community to experience and apply innovative problem-solving and design methodologies in a situated way.
